Mackinaw Surgery Center has been recognized by SPH Analytics for achieving an unparalleled level of patient satisfaction for 2016/2017.

Mackinaw Surgery Center, which is a joint adventure with Covenant HealthCare and physicians and managed by Nueterra Healthcare, was recognized by SPH Analytics, a patient satisfaction survey company that is used nationally by Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC’s) and Hospitals to gauge how they are doing.

Per Marisol Rivera, Director of Patient Experience at SPH, “The outstanding performance by Mackinaw Surgery Center for all 22 key performance indicators is compelling.” “In particular, Mackinaw Surgery Center achieved a significant increase in 4 measures, nursing staff courtesy, pain level control, confidence in care received and felt safe. This recognizes excellence on the part of all employees with direct patient contact.”

Dr. Craig Bohnhoff, Chairman of the Board for Mackinaw Surgery Center, said “The facilities consistent strong performance reflects its commitment to providing patients with quality, affordable surgical services in a patient-centered environment.”

“We’ve been saying for some time that physician-owned facilities are part of the health care reform solution because they provide patients with a quality, convenient and comfortable alternative for receiving the care they need,” Bohnhoff said. “Mackinaw Surgery Center is pleased to be a leader in the industry and will always be committed to our patients.”
