Workforce Development

HCECM Workforce Development creates specific committees that give hospital members a medium to collaborate on, design and implement initiatives that solve various issues affecting healthcare services. New associate members have the chance to contribute to these committees, as well. Throughout the years, the committees have been responsible for the creation of various successful programs.

 

Two principle committees are:

Camp Health and Wellness:

Camp Health and Wellness is an annual event that is financially sponsored by the Hospital Council of East Central Michigan (HCECM) and many of its hospital members. The event is coordinated and facilitated by the amazing team at Delta College. This camp is a tool designed to assist youth from the East Central Michigan region in developing realistic career goals. Staff from many of the HCECM member hospitals provide valuable presentations and assist students with hands on experiences in multiple healthcare disciplines. It is through these thoughtful presentations and hands on activities that students begin to make important connections between their interests and the amazing and rewarding career opportunities available in healthcare.
