Aleda E. Lutz VA in Saginaw Announces New Chief of Staff
We are pleased to announce Dr. James Hines as the new Chief of Staff for the Aleda E. Lutz VA in Saginaw and nine Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Alpena, Bad Axe, Cadillac, Cheboygan County, Clare, Gaylord, Grayling, Oscoda, and Traverse City.
Dr. Hines served as a Primary Care Physician at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center prior to this appointment and brings with him vast experience from a number of private sector medical facilities to include Recovery Pathways, Weatherby Healthcare, Valley OB/GYN,Covenant, and St. Mary’s (now Ascension). He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry and American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
He received his Medical Doctorate Degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana, and completed Postgraduate Studies in Family Medicine Residency, Fort Wayne, Indiana; French Language Institute, Albertville, France; Fellowship in Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium; Sango Language School, Nzoro, Central African Republic; and Obstetric and Gynecology Residency in Saginaw, Michigan.
He holds a number of Society Memberships and currently teaches OB/GYN and Family Medicine to residents, as well as medical and PA students. To his credit, Dr. Hines has several published articles, has completed a number of research projects, and displays an extensive list of medical/educational presentations throughout his medical career.
