Aleda E. Lutz VAMC Lowers Age for COVID-19 Veteran Vaccinations

Aleda E. Lutz VAMC is now offering Moderna and Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccines to eligible Veterans, age 18 years and older. Veterans who are enrolled and receiving care are eligible to receive the vaccine when their facility has vaccine supply.

“We are pleased to lower the age group, so as to offer the vaccination to all interested Veterans,” stated Mr. Cauley, Acting Medical Center Director. “Currently we have 9,021 Veterans and 894 staff who have received at least the first dose of vaccine. We continue our efforts at the medical center and our Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) as the vaccine supplies arrive. I am proud of our dedicated staff who continue to work tirelessly providing additional vaccine clinics on weekends all throughout our 35 counties.”

Veterans can get the latest information and sign up to receive updates on VA’s COVID-19 vaccine webpage. The medical center and CBOCs are reaching out to Veterans who are eligible for vaccination. Veterans may call their PACT team or our call center at 989-497-2500, extension 11230 to schedule an appointment as openings are available.

Veterans who would like additional information can visit the VA COVID-19 vaccines webpage, visit our website at or call our COVID-19 Hotline at 989-321-4155, which are consistently updated.
