All Vaccine Supply Administered at this Time
The Aleda E. Lutz VAMC has worked diligently to offer and administer the COVID -19 Moderna vaccine as quickly as possible to VA employees and Veterans who receive care at VA and who meet current CDC guidelines for priority which is 75 and older and those with high-risk conditions such as dialysis, receiving chemotherapy, and transplant patients. We have administered all our present first-dose supply and are currently awaiting our next allocation, anticipated the week of January 25, 2021.
During this phase of limited vaccine supply, we expect interest to far exceed vaccine availability. That is why we continue to follow CDC guidelines for vaccine administration to ensure those at greatest risk for severe illness are offered the vaccine as it becomes available. To learn more about CDC vaccination guidelines, please visit: When Vaccine is Limited, Who Should Get Vaccinated First? | CDC
As soon as we receive additional vaccine, we will notify Veterans when we are able to restart our vaccination efforts. There is no waitlist for Veterans and no need to call clinics to be put on a waitlist. Please check our website for updates at https://www.saginaw.va.gov/. Veterans may call our local COVID Hotline at 989-321-4155 for updated information regarding the Moderna Vaccine. Veterans can also express their interest in receiving the COVID vaccination by going to this website: https://www.va.gov/health-care/covid-19-vaccine/stay-informed/form.
