Ascension St. Joseph Foundation Supports Seton Cancer Institute Infusion Room Project
TAWAS CITY, MI - The Seton Cancer Institute at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital recently opened their newly renovated oncology infusion room as part of their comprehensive program for caring for cancer patients across our communities. The Ascension St. Joseph Foundation raised nearly $250,000 with the support of many generous community donors, including Oscoda Volley for a Cure and the Mary J. Chevis Endowment Fund administered by Northeast Michigan Community Foundation.
This patient-centered renovation added comfort and increased privacy for patients receiving cancer treatment. Renovations include new flooring, walls, comfort recliners for patients with reinforced support in the seat and extra-wide armrests, privacy curtains, new nurses’ station and the addition of a patient restroom.
