Local Car Parade Provides Very Touching Experience for MRH’s Long-Term Care Residents
We were blessed and extremely grateful for the beautiful day for the Long-Term Care Car Parade last Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Marlette Regional Hospital.
Residents were decked out in hats/masks and positioned for social distancing as they anticipated the start of the parade. The staff and volunteers followed safety protocols as they lovingly assisted each resident. There were lots of waves, shout-outs, air hugs, tears, and smiles along the parade route. Everyone enjoyed their time in the outdoors in the sun.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Carol Roberts, our Long-Term Care Unit’s Activity Director, Patti Leonard, Long-Term Care Unit Director, the LTC staff, volunteers, family members of residents, and community members who drove the parade route. Approximately 75 vehicles were in the parade line.
Visitor restrictions remain in place at this time to ensure the health and safety of our residents. For more information about our long-term care unit, please visit www.marletteregionalhospital.org.
