Marlette Regional Hospital Encourage Families to Schedule Well-Child Visits during Back-to-School Season

It’s that time of year again…back to school! Have you scheduled your annual well-child visit with your primary care provider? Well-child visits ensure that kids are on track for normal growth and development. Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) encourages families to visit their primary care provider annually to allow for health monitoring as well as relationship building between provider, parent and child.

Annual well-child visits are a preventative service benefit covered at 100% by health insurance plans. Furthermore, school sports physicals can be completed during your visit, saving you time and money. A sport physical form will need to be taken to the well-child visit to ensure completion by the healthcare provider.

MRH also recommends that parents make it a priority to talk with their children regularly and address any issues including scheduling, stress, schoolwork, after-school activities, friendships and overall health. Families should also discuss the dangers of alcohol, drugs and vaping.

If you do not currently have a primary care provider, please call 989-635-4000 or visit for a list of providers. Offices are located in Marlette, Brown City, Kingston, Mayville and North Branch.
