Marlette Regional Hospital Unveils New CT Scanner

Marlette Regional Hospital is excited to share important information about the new recently installed CT Scanner that delivers a perfect balance between confidence and patient comfort. This new system, the Aquilion Prime SP CT provides exceptional image quality while utilizing the lowest patient radiation dose.

The high-speed, low-dose, 80-slice diagnostic system uses Advanced Intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE), an innovative approach to CT reconstruction, using deep learning to distinguish true signal form noise to deliver sharp, clear and distinct images at speed. Trained using vast amount of high-quality image data, AiCE provides enhanced anatomical resolution across the whole-body including brain, lung, cardiac and musculoskeletal systems.

Marlette Regional Hospital’s highly qualified team of a board-certified radiologist and state-registered technologists operate the system with a touch-screen tablet on the CT device to stay close by during exam preparation to give the patient additional support. The Patient centric design also includes a wide, open and low to the ground device to put patients at ease during the exam. Marlette Regional Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging manager Rebecca Vislosky, RT(R)(CT)(M), CNMT says, “providing exceptional care is our number 1 priority and with this new system we will be able to provide our patients with the lowest dose possible while maintaining high quality diagnostic imaging.”
