McKenzie Health System Auxiliary Donates $24,000

Sanilac County, Mich. – With the overwhelming success of the 15th Annual McKenzie Auxiliary Golf Scramble in June, the McKenzie Health System Auxiliary was in a position to make a very generous donation to the hospital.

The recent donation, which totaled $24,000, finished paying off the 3D mammography technology, as well as providing funds to go toward a dye injector which the Diagnostic Imaging Department needed to replace. All proceeds from the Auxiliary’s annual Golf Scramble and its other fundraising efforts throughout the year go to support McKenzie Health System.

“Everyone was so excited to see the level of support for our Golf Scramble this year and we were thrilled to be able to hand this check to the staff at McKenzie Health System,” said Rebecca Cambridge, McKenzie Auxiliary President. “We understand what a difference fundraising dollars make to a non-profit and are incredibly grateful for everyone that participated and made this donation possible.”

The McKenzie Health System Auxiliary will also host their annual “Fall into the Holiday Spirit” event on Friday, November 12 at Benchwarmers. With a silent auction of fall and holiday décor, the event will be raising funds to support the purchase of an EKG to be used at the hospital. Attendees will also be able to indulge in holiday cocktails, snacks, and desserts while enjoying this wonderful evening for a great cause!
