Public Invited to Celebrate Hospital Week Activities at Marlette Regional Hospital
Marlette Regional Hospital will be celebrating National Hospital Week May 12 – 18, 2019 with scheduled activities each day. Celebrating National Hospital Week provides an opportunity to thank all of the dedicated individuals—physicians, nurses, therapists, food service workers, volunteers, administrators and so many more—for their contributions.
On Monday, May 13, hospital retirees are invited to join staff for an employee luncheon and the annual Nurse of the Year presentation beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Seton Lobby at Marlette Regional Hospital.
On Tuesday, May 14, Marlette Family HealthCare will be hosting a Meet & Greet with Dr. Lillian Marzouq from 1 – 2:30 p.m. in the MRH Seton Lobby. Ice cream floats will be served and (appropriate) beach attire is welcome to fit the theme. The community is welcome to stop in for a float and wish her a warm welcome to the Marlette community!
For “Patriotic Day” on May 15, veterans will be offered free health screenings including blood pressure checks, Achilles bone density screenings, and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood screenings from 1 – 2:30 p.m. in the Seton Lobby at Marlette Regional Hospital. Additionally, free popcorn, pop and yard games will be part of the festivities. This event is sponsored in part by the P.C.U.P.S. Foundation and Sanilac Career Center health occupations program.
On Thursday, May 16, YaEatYet? food truck will be parked at Marlette Regional Hospital and the public is invited to stop in for their tasty offerings including wood-fired pizzas, Cuban sandwiches, loaded crazy fries and more! Cash pay only.
To round out the week’s festivities, we’re calling all superheroes, both young and old, for the Hometown Heroes Family Fun Night on Friday, May 17 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Marlette Regional Hospital. Families will have an opportunity to meet and get photos with our local heroes—the Marlette Police Department, Marlette Fire Department, Marlette EMS, and LifeNet helicopter personnel. These heroes will be stationed around the outside of Marlette Regional Hospital’s campus and there will be fun giveaways and games along the route! Families can arrive anytime between 6 – 8 p.m. and check-in at the front of the MRH Seton Entrance. This is event is free to attend and costumes are encouraged!
