Sheridan Community Hospital Announces New Executive Board

SHERIDAN, Mich. (October 2019) – Sheridan Community Hospital is excited to announce the reorganization of its Board and restructuring of the organization. The reorganization is led by Jerry Rizqallah, who has been a highly successful entrepreneur and real estate investor for over 30 years, and Mark D. Clark, M.D., who is President of Samaritan Health Care, PC. He has been practicing medicine for over 30 years and is board certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine, the American Board of Anesthesiology, and the American Board of Pain Medicine.

The current Board appointed this Executive Board and then resigned. “As chairperson of the previous board and a previous Chief of the Medical Staff, I and, I believe, all members of the board of Sheridan Community Hospital are satisfied and optimistic at leaving the hospital we love in the hands of Mr. Rizqallah and his partners,” commented Dr. Ronald Steury, the immediate past board president. “We feel this change in direction and leadership will benefit our loyal employees and our community. We wish them nothing but the best in the difficult job of keeping this small, but important, rural hospital viable and responsive to our local residents.”

The new Executive Board is committed to the vision of maintaining Sheridan Community Hospital’s status as a critical access, rural community hospital. To ensure that happens, the Executive Board is forming an Advisory Board made up of local community members. The Advisory Board will assist with planning and decision making dedicated to the success of Sheridan Community Hospital. Bobbi McColley, Sheridan Community Hospital’s interim Chief Executive Officer, will continue in this role and be an integral member of the Advisory Board.

The Executive Board is actively searching for candidates to be on the Advisory Board. Interested individuals can learn more information and fill out an application on the Sheridan Community Hospital website.
