The Heartlands Marlette Senior Living Receives Grant from the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) for Exercise Equipment

The Heartlands Marlette Senior Living extends sincere thanks and appreciation to the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) for their generous grant gift of $5,000 to go towards fitness equipment at The Heartlands Community Center.

The grant funds will help support senior fitness equipment for The Heartlands! The fitness equipment is tailored to the senior population and allows for residents ages 55 and older to safely participate in physical activity. The equipment will consist of recumbent steppers, recumbent bike, treadmill, upper body arm bike and additional free weights. The senior-specific fitness equipment has premium safety features for seating and arm rails, as well as wheelchair access to accommodate all residents.

The Heartlands – Marlette Senior Living offers something unique for everyone, including the surrounding community. Our Community Center offers a warm and friendly country-style design, nestled in the center of The Heartlands. It is available for public use by appointment and offers all of the amenities needed to host a gathering or special event, including a dining and seating area, kitchenette, bathrooms, media room, gym/exercise room and office/exam room.
